Hacienda

Yesterday I was craving for Mexican food, so my friend and i decided to try Hacienda, which is located in Plaza Senayan Arcadia.

I ordered fajitas sirloin (IDR 159.000) and my friend ordered enchiladas lingua (IDR 129.000). For drinks we had ice lemon tea and ice lychee tea (IDR 30.000). I was tempted to order frozen margarita but due to sore throat I had to say no.

Anyway, the food was good. The sirloin was cooked perfectly. I liked the beans and salsa. My friend's lingua was also good.
Will I come back? Probably. But as personal preference, I still like Amigos better. But this is probably because you get bigger portion in Amigos. ^_^

Kiyadon

This place has to be my favorite place to have sushi. I've been to Kiyadon sooo many times because it is that good.
Usually I go to the one located in Grand Indonesia.
On my last visit, I had the Volcano sushi ~ not really a sushi, more like salmon+egg+avocado+salmon roe with rice.
I also ordered cold tempura soba, and one of their new menu: unagi katsusaba (not sure if this is the right name, sorry -_- )
Total damage cost was around IDR 350.000.

Holycow

Finally I got the chance to try Holy Cow, Kelapa Gading branch.
I've heard about this place for so long but never had the chance to try it, until now.

I ordered the Australian prime rib eye, medium well ( IDR 72.000) with ice lemon tea - free refill ( IDR 13.500). As for the sauce, I opted for mushroom sauce.
They have about 5 different kind of sauce, including black pepper and barbeque.
Being a mushroom lover, mushroom sauce is always my first option.

After waiting for about 10 minutes, my order came out. I was a lil bit surprise to see my meal because the portion was pretty big. The meal came with green beans and potatoes ( you can choose fries or mashed).
The meat was tender and still juicy. The sauce was good. The green beans and the fries really completed the meal.

I must say, the steak is definitely better than Abuba. Will I come back? Definitely. ^_^

New York, New York

These are some pictures taken during my trip to New York City last month. Seeing these pics makes me want to go back to NYC -_-

Waroeng Eddi

Due to heavy rain and flooding in most every area in Jakarta, I decided to have lunch in a place nearby from my current location.

Waroeng Eddi, located in Pesanggrahan, is a nice option because I was craving for nasi ayam Semarang. This place is serving authentic Semarang cuisine with very affordable price.

I opted for nasi ayam Semarang (IDR 16.000) with lumpia basah Semarang as appetizer (IDR 6.000/piece). My friend ordered iga bakar (IDR 28.000) with rice.
Everything was delicious and we left with full and happy tummy.

Banjir banjir....

Hari ini banjir di Jakarta semakin parah disebabkan tingginya curah hujan sejak dini hari.
Kalau sudah begini, siapa yang harus bertanggung jawab?
Andaikan ada sedikit kesadaran dari masyarakat Jakarta untuk tidak membuang sampah sembarangan, mungkin bisa membantu mengurangi resiko banjir.
Tapi sepertinya susah ya mengubah kebiasaan ini. Padahal kalau dilihat di siaran televisi, sampah yang mengapung buanyakkkk sekali.

Sepertinya banjir kali ini termasuk yang cukup parah. Semoga pasangan gubernur yang baru bisa memberikan solusi untuk mengatasi banjir yang memang sudah menjadi langganan sejak dahulu.

Fish n Co

This restaurant has always been a favorite of mine.
Usually I order the regular fish and chips.
But this time, I decided to try something different.
Since there were two of us, I chose the Seafood Platter for 2.
The platter comes with fish, prawns, mussels, squids, fries, and rice.
On the menu picture, it seemed like the portion size is not too big.
But surprisingly it was big enough to feed 2 hungry people 😊.
And it was yummy !!
Makes me want to try other menu on the next visit.
