Queen Restaurant

During my visit to Bandung with the family, we stopped by at Queen Restaurant to grab some lunch.

This restaurant is one of the oldest and famous Chinese restaurant in Bandung area, located in Jalan Dalem Kaum.

We ordered 7 menus, but  I only took 4 pictures as I was so hungry at that time ^_^.

The food was good especially with the whole family at the table. 

My favorite was the Sate Shanghai. I wonder why they call it sate since the they serve the meat with mantau, not on skewer. 

And one more interesting thing, the dish is not mentioned in the menu so you have to ask for it.  

Overall, it was a nice meal. 

This restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you are in Bandung area.

Downtown Bistro

Me and a friend visited Downtown Bistro couple days ago.
The place is located on Landmark Building.
It's very easy to find even though you are not familiar with the building.
We arrived at 5 p.m. and there were only 2 tables filled.
We were asked if we wanted to seat inside or outside. We chose the outside area.

The menu consists of variety of food.
I decided to have a turkey sandwich (59k) and my friend wanted to try The George's Steak (175k).
It took more than 20 minutes for the food to come out. Luckily we were engaging in a pretty intense conversation so that 20 minutes seemed to fly quickly.

My turkey sandwich came with fries and coleslaw. I really enjoyed the fries, but not so much on the slaw. The sandwich itself was pretty good, but I found the bread was a bit too dry. But overall it was a nice meal.

My friend's steak on the other hand was amazing. The steak came with mashed potato and veggie. The meat was so tender yet so juicy. Definitely worth to try!

As for dessert, we ordered the chocolate molten cake (38k). The waiter told us that it will take 20 minutes to prepare the dessert. Since our agenda was free so we agreed to wait. And I'd say that it was worth the wait. The cake was sooo good that I was tempted to order the other one. The melted chocolate match perfectly with the vanilla ice cream. I also loved the texture of the cake.
Note to self: try George's pie and bread pudding next time. I heard they are also amazing.
